Dodger historian Mark Langill to speak at Whittwood Branch Library tonight

Apologies for the short notice but Dodgers Team Historian and noted author Mark Langill will be a guest speaker tonight at the Whittwood Branch Library in Whittier beginning at 6:30 PM.

Langill, author of several books on the history of the storied Dodger franchise, will also be signing copies of his popular book Game of My Life Dodgers and will answer questions about the colorful history of the Dodger organization from its early days in Brooklyn up to and including the incredible 2013 season. There will also be raffle prizes at tonight’s event.

ThinkBlueLA had an exclusive interview with Langill back in June of 2012 in which he spoke about may great and historical Dodger events and shared some of his most cherished memories of our beloved team. When asked how he became the official historian for the Dodgers, Langill quipped: “If you don’t hit the ball well in Little League, you’re well on your way to being a team historian. People think I’m being funny, but anybody who saw me play in Little League would say ‘No, that’s pretty much it.’ I knew everything about baseball except how to hit one.”
