Dodgers to give away Vin Scully commemorative coin

The Dodgers have announced that the first 50,000 fans in attendance on Saturday, September 24 (6:10 pm vs. COL) will receive a limited edition Vin Scully  commemorative coin. Scully is in his 67th and final season in the broadcast booth for the Dodgers. The Hall of Famer’s 67 years of consecutive service with the Dodger organization is the longest of any sports broadcaster with one team. Scully’s final regular season home game will be September 25.

This 39 millimeter solid bronze Vin Scully limited edition commemorative coin is minted with an image of Scully with his signature greeting quote on the front and the Dodgers’ established date on the back. This unique coin is delivered in a protective flip pouch with a certificate, will be individually numbered and is available only to the first 50,000 fans in attendance September 24.

Fans can also look forward to Vin Scully Bobblehead Night presented by Mercedes-Benz Dealers of Southern California Tuesday, September 20 (7:10 pm vs. Giants). The Dodgers are currently unveiling Scully’s top 20 Dodger calls which began August 13 and were selected by fan vote at www.dodgers.com/Vin . The unveiling of the top two calls will take place on Vin Scully Appreciation Day September 23.

Vin Scully Weekend kicks off with Vin Scully Appreciation Day Friday, September 23 (7:10 p.m. vs. Rockies), which will include an on-field ceremony with very special guests, opportunities for fans to thank and pay tribute to Scully and Friday Night Fireworks presented by Denny’s set to the top calls of Scully’s one-of-a-kind career. Fan Appreciation Day September 25 (1:10 p.m. vs. Rockies) will feature tributes to Scully throughout the day as part of Vin Scully Weekend. The 2016 Los Angeles Dodgers Yearbook also features a special tribute to Scully, spanning from the start of his Dodger career in 1950 to the present.

    These are the things that make me wish I wasn’t geographically challenged.
    Even worse, being in Colorado the games will be blacked out here.
