Dodgers putting the band back together for FanFest 2018

It had to happen. In fact, every other Dodger fan on the planet has been looking forward to it since that brutally painful final out of the 2017 World Series. Dodger Stadium organist Dieter Ruehle, Dodgers official disc jockey DJ Severe, and Dodger Stadium PA announcer Todd Leitz will be together again for FanFest 2018 at Dodger Stadium on Saturday, January 27 from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Ruehle will be entering his third season behind the Dodger Stadium keyboard in 2018, while Leitz will be entering his fourth behind the PA microphone. Severe is the veteran of the trio, with the 2018 season being his 10th behind the Dodger Stadium turntable.

“I’m really looking forward to it,” said Ruehle about the upcoming FanFest event. “It’s such a great way to kickoff the new season.”

Although Leitz isn’t 100 percent certain that he will be able to make Saturday’s FanFest event, he told ThinkBlueLA that he would “probably” be there, depending on his busy schedule with MySafe:LA Fire and Life Safety program with the Los Angeles Fire Department. Fans will know within minutes (or sooner) if the popular former newscaster is in the house, as his golden voice is like no other in the world.

Dodger fans are absolutely blessed to have the best PA announcer (Todd Leitz), the best in-stadium DJ (DJ Severe), and the best organist (Dieter Ruehle) at Dodger Stadium. All three will be back for the 2018 season.

As always, FanFest is free and open to the public, but digital tickets are required and can only be claimed at Dodgers.com/FanFest. Fans must also download the MLB.com Ballpark App on their smart phones, which is the exclusive way of presenting their digital tickets for admission at the stadium gates (Left or Right Field Plaza). Parking is free, and parking gates will open for the event at 9:30 a.m.
