Dodger Stadium chef to appear on the Cooking Channel

Longtime Dodger Stadium sous chef Dave Pearson will be a special guest on an episode of My Grandmother’s Raviolia popular show on the Cooking Channel, which will air on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 5 PM (PT) and again at 8 PM (PT). The episode is titled A Home Run in the Kitchen.

Pearson, who was profiled here on ThinkBlueLA last month, will share his culinary skills with show host and humorist Mo Rocca. The show will feature Pearson preparing his extremely popular lasagna, Tommy Lasorda’s personal favorite, at ‘Dave’s Diner’ in the Vin Scully Press Box at Dodger Stadium and his personal favorite, short ribs and green beans, for a special family meal prepared at his home.

“I’m excited,” said Pearson about being featured on the Cooking Channel. “We’re gonna have it on the TV right here [in the press box diner] during the game on Wednesday night.”

For those who do not get the Cooking Channel through their cable or satellite provider or who are preoccupied with… say, like, the Dodgers/Padres game, the show will be re-broadcast throughout the month (check local listings for exact times). The episode can also be seen on line via the Cooking Channel website (under My Grandmother’s Ravioli) after the original air date.
