Vin Scully to attend tonight’s NLCS Game-5

According to USA Today columnist Bob Nightengale, Hall of Fame and recently retired Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully will be in attendance at Thursday evening’s National League Championship Series game between the Dodgers and Chicago Cubs at Dodger Stadium.

On Monday the 88-year-old beloved Dodgers broadcaster told ThinkBlueLA said that he fully expected the series to return to Chicago.

“I don’t think there is any way that this series won’t return to Chicago,” Scully said.

With the Dodgers ugly 10-2 loss on Wednesday evening in Game-4 of the best-of-seven series, Scully’s words once again (and still) proved to be gospel.

“It’s been an exciting series thus far,” Scully added. “Kershaw has been amazing.”

Although there has been no official confirmation from the Dodgers regarding Nightengale’s tweet, there is certainly no reason to doubt it. One can only hope that we will once again hear the very man who coined the phrase say:

“It’s time for Dodger Baseball!”

Maybe they will have him on the field after the SSB to say his famous phrase – a girl can only hope!!

So can a guy. I was thinking that too. It may happen, but more likely from his seat in the stands.

I must be reading something wrong but they had to go back to Chicago because Game 5 was not an elimination game.

Don’t know if you read it wrong but you clearly didn’t read it carefully.

Monday was the travel day after Game-2 when the series was tied 1-1. If you had connected the dots properly you would have realized that with the next three games being played at Dodger Stadium, there was still a chance that the Dodgers could have clinched at home. But alas, you didn’t and neither did the they.
