Vin Scully on the passing of Don Newcombe

Late Tuesday evening, beloved Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully issued this statement on the passing of his longtime friend and Dodgers legend Don Newcombe:

A short while later, this wonderful drawing by noted LA Times sports cartoonist Jim Thompson was posted on Twitter:

God Bless You Don, and please give our very best to Jackie and Roy.
